Varied and strong

During the past almost three decades, strong food businesses with strong brands emerged in the state of Brandenburg.

Gherkins from the Spreewald, sausages from Eberswalde or ketchup from Werder have been deeply rooted in the product range of the German retail food trade for some time now. Brandenburg’s products, such as Werder fruit juices or wines, black beer from Neuzelle, mineral water from Brandenburg, chocolate from Lusatia, flaxseed oil from the Spreewald, Neuruppin’s stews or Beelitz asparagus, are traditional brands and make a culinary contribution to making the capital region itself famous far beyond its borders. They contribute substantially to the fact that the food industry is perceived as a dynamic sector.
